China International Express (CIE, Chinese: 中速快件) service is an international express service jointly launched by China Postal Express & Logistics Co., Ltd. and commercial logistics enterprises such as TNT Express, DHL and FedEx etc.[1][2] Shipments of this service are collected by EMS, then bulk-transferred to partner enterprises at designated domestic handover stations. Afterwards, the consignments are delivered via the partners’ global logistics networks until final delivery,[2] covering more than 220 countries and regions worldwide.[1]

Officially launched on January 1, 2000, China International Express was initially piloted in 20 outbound postal exchange offices in China with TNT as its sole cooperative partner, and all shipments had to be transited via Hongkong Post. It was primarily designed to cover destinations unreachable by Chinese EMS and optimize unsatisfactory EMS delivery services in accessible regions of Chinese EMS.[3]

As of 2026, it consists of four major service lines: CIE-TNT, CIE-DHL, CIE-FedEx and Chinese Hong Kong Express Service.[4]
